CREATE AND FORMAT PARTITIONS

Paragon Partition Manager provides the ability to improve your data organization and to get ready for multiple OS installation by creating and formatting partitions. It allows creating and formatting new partitions in few mouse clicks by using Create Partition Wizard. During the wizard you can specify whether the partition will be Primary, Extended or Logical and select a file system the newly created partition will be formatted to (FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, Ext2 FS, Ext3 FS, HPFS).

In addition, there is the possibility to perform further advanced operations:

Hard disk surface test on the formatted partition. Partition Manager will find bad and unstable sectors and mark them unusable in the file system metadata.
Set the amount of sectors per boot for FAT16 and FAT32 file systems. Set the number of sectors to be reserved for the boot area on the partition with this spinner control.
Set the amount of root entries for FAT16 file system. Set the maximum amount of files/directories to be placed in the Root Directory on the FAT16 partition.
Set the amount of sectors per cluster for the formatted partition.
